This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used when you visit endcastradio.com, create an account, submit field reports, purchase a subscription or digital product, or sign up for our newsletter.
We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd. (parent company of Base44 Inc.), with registered offices at 500 Terry A. Francois Blvd., San Francisco, CA 94158, USA.
When you visit our website, Wix automatically collects and stores server log files containing:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Pages visited
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
This data is processed for the purpose of ensuring website stability, security, and error detection.

Data transfer: Wix/Base44 is based in the USA. Data transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), an adequacy decision by the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR. Wix is DPF-certified.
Retention: Server log files are typically retained for 7 days.
4. SSL/TLS Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmissions (https://). You can identify an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. All payment data is transmitted in encrypted form.
5. User Registration and Accounts
You can create a free account on endcastradio.com. When registering, we collect:
- Username and display name (pseudonyms permitted)
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
- City and country of residence (selected via Google Places)
- IP address, date, and time of registration
User profiles are publicly visible by default (username, city, operator rank, submitted reports). You can contact us to request profile restrictions.
Paid subscription data (tier level, billing status) is stored in connection with your account.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract (providing the platform services you signed up for).
Retention: Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is erased within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply.
Third-party transfer: Account data is processed by Wix/Base44 (USA, DPF-certified).
6. Field Reports (User-Generated Content)
Registered users may submit field reports (short text posts) that are displayed publicly in the Live Reports Feed and may be featured in broadcasts. When you submit a report, we store:
- Report text and category
- Your username and city
- Submission date and time
- IP address (for moderation and security purposes)
Reports are moderated before or after publication. We reserve the right to remove reports that violate our Terms of Service.
By submitting a report, you grant Octo Studios a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and read your report in the context of Endcast Radio broadcasts and the endcastradio.com platform.

7. Payments and Subscriptions
We use Stripe to process all payments including subscriptions and one-time purchases. When you make a purchase, Stripe collects and processes:
- Name and email address
- Payment card details (stored by Stripe, not by us)
- Billing address
- IP address and device information
We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status from Stripe, but do not store full card details ourselves.

8. Digital Products (E-Book / Survival Manual)
When you purchase the Endcast Survival Manual or other digital products, we process your email address to deliver the download link. This email is stored for order management and customer support purposes.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract.
9. Newsletter (Static Bulletin)
You can subscribe to our weekly newsletter. When subscribing, we collect:
- Email address
- IP address, date, and time of subscription (for proof of consent)
- Browser and device information
Newsletter content includes: weekly broadcast updates, field reports from the community, story arc developments, and information about new episodes and membership offers.
We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue, operated by Sendinblue SAS, 55 rue d'Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France) to send our newsletter. Brevo is an EU-based provider. Your email address is stored on Brevo's servers in the EU.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us at taegestudios@gmail.com.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your explicit consent (double opt-in).
Retention: Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

10. Website Analytics (Base44 Analytics)
We use the analytics function built into our hosting platform Base44 (operated by Wix.com Ltd., USA) to collect basic usage statistics. This tool collects general data such as visitor counts, page views, device types, browser types, and approximate geographic region. Individual users are not identified.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used in order to improve it.
Data transfer: Base44/Wix is based in the USA and is DPF-certified.
11. Embedded Videos (YouTube)
We embed videos from YouTube (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website.
When you play an embedded YouTube video, a connection is established with YouTube's servers. YouTube may receive information including your IP address, browser type, and the page you were visiting. YouTube may set cookies on your device.
We use YouTube's enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) wherever possible, which means YouTube does not store information about visitors on our site unless they actively play the video.

5. Field Reports (nutzergenerierte Inhalte)
Registrierte Nutzer können Field Reports einreichen, die öffentlich angezeigt und ggf. in Sendungen vorgelesen werden. Gespeichert werden: Reporttext, Kategorie, Benutzername, Stadt, Einreichungsdatum, IP-Adresse (für Moderation und Sicherheit).
Mit der Einreichung räumt der Nutzer Octo Studios ein nicht-exklusives, weltweites, unentgeltliches Nutzungsrecht an den Inhalten im Rahmen des Endcast Radio-Projekts ein.

6. Zahlungsabwicklung (Stripe)
Zahlungen werden über Stripe Inc. (USA, DPF-zertifiziert) abgewickelt. Stripe verarbeitet Zahlungsdaten gemäß eigener Datenschutzerklärung: https://stripe.com/privacy
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
Transaktionsdaten werden gemäß § 147 AO, § 257 HGB für 10 Jahre aufbewahrt.

Beim Kauf digitaler Produkte (z.B. Endcast Survival Manual) wird Ihre E-Mail-Adresse zur Lieferung des Download-Links verarbeitet.

Bei der Anmeldung erheben wir: E-Mail-Adresse, IP-Adresse, Datum und Uhrzeit der Anmeldung (als Nachweis der Einwilligung).
